1 review for WiFi Display Link Dongle Miracast

  1. 3 out of 5

    (verified owner):

I tried the MP249 dongle with my Rockchip 97RQ retina tablet running Android 4.2.2. The first thing is to switch your TV input to hdmi to see the instructions on configuring the dongle. By default it was set to DLNA mode for use with iOS devices. I followed the instructions to connect to the dongle via WiFi and switch the mode to Miracast from a web browser. My tablet was then able to find the dongle and replicate my tablet’s display on the TV. Sadly audio didn’t work hinting at interoperability problems with my particular tablet, but it is perfectly good enough for wireless display of slides and projecting demo’s of mobile apps. There is a noticeable time lag, and a reduction in image resolution, but it would be okay for watching a video from your mobile device with friends. I don’t have an iPhone or iPad and wasn’t able to test the dongle with DLNA.
